Haslemere Museum trip

What an exciting day we all had

Our Trip to Haslemere Museum

On January 9th all of Reception went to Haslemere Museum on a coach to find out all about fossils and fossil hunting.

The children had several activities to do. The first was to make a fossil using putty, different fossils to push in to the putty and a setting agent to make the fossil hard.

The children also took part in a drama of how fossils are created over millions of years and they had to be different parts of the process. That was fun and very interesting.

They looked at and drew exhibits and artefacts and the most exciting thing of all was that they looked around the galleries in search of different fossils and dinosaur artefacts.

It was a super trip and one that really supported their dinosaur topic.
